Restoring corrupt DYN file

Hi all,

I am having issue with my dyn files, which seem to be corrupted. The file was saved in dynamo 2.0.2 or 2.0.3 not sure. I followed the method detailed by https://forum.dynamobim.com/t/dyn-error-opening-corrupted/24610 Editing the file in notepad with no avail.

Are you opening these in Dynamo 1.x perhaps? If so the solution is to upgrade that Dynamo to 2.0.4 (good for all Revit builds from 2017 to 2019, and 2020 and up all use Dynamo 2.1 or higher).

There is no backwards compatibility between Dynamo 2.x and Dynamo 1.x.

I am not actually intending to open it in previous version of 1.x; I just want to open it in in same Dynamo version of 2.0.3. Upon inspecting the file in notepad, i discovered corrupted text under the section of “NodeViews”, which sadly can’t be retrieved. Do you think there is any hope in editing the file and get it fixed?
