[Request for Feedback] Your feedback wanted on node information grouping

Hello, Dynamo users!

We are going to be building a new extension in Dynamo that enables you to better see your graph node state. You’ll be able to interrogate status on a per-node basis and navigate to problem spaces to swiftly resolve!

We’re looking for your feedback to improve the way node information is organized in the new extension. Please take this quick, interactive survey to let us know how you’d prefer to group this information.

Below is a brief example to show you how to group cards in the survey.

grouping example

And step-by-step directions:

  1. Review the list of cards on the left (“Node is an input,” “Node that has an empty list,” etc.)
  2. Consider which cards you think belong together (as an unrelated example, if we had cards labeled “Peanut butter” and “Jelly,” you might feel like those go together)
  3. Drag and drop the cards into a category (any category is fine, they are just placeholders for you to create the groups). You can have as many or as few cards per category.
  4. Once all cards are grouped (or you feel stuck), you’re done! You can elaborate on any groupings you had difficulty with in the next question.

If you have any problems with the survey, please reach out to Helena.wahlstrom@autodesk.com or simply reply to this thread. Happy grouping!

I feel a little confused as to what is being asked of the participants.

Hi John! Thanks for your response. I’ll write some step-by-step directions that might help.

Please let me know if that helps clarify it!
