Ugh this should be an easy task but for some reason it has me stumped. I am trying to replace the (placeholder) state seal in our border with another one with the same name (in a diferent state folder location) I am also trying to use Data shapes for the interface
care to share what you have done so far in Dynamo?
OK I think I know the problem looks like I am using the Document.LoadFamily node but that one doesn’t replace families that is already in the project. Ugh getting closer

OK I got it needed to use the Orchid node to replace the family here is the finished product if anyone needs it.

well it worked fine till we upgraded to Revit 2023 and then the orchid package was modified to not work in a family. I got a response from orchid the I must use a new node but when I did it gives me the attached image error (Expects argument type(s), but was called with a string.
so it looks like I need to redo this and somehow change my string to a file. ugh
any sugestions?
