Rebar Elements disappear when running script again

Hey all,

At the moment I am working on multiple Dynamoscripts to automate the proces of drawing rebar in certain concrete elements. At the moment the script does run and draws rebar in the element.

However, when I would like to run the script again, for say another element from the same category, it removes the rebar that was previously placed. This also happend whenever I close and re-open Dynamo aswell as the project I’m testing it in.

I feel like I’m missing one little note or something to completely bind the object to the element. Does any of you maybe have an idea for this?

Element Binding in Revit

Element binding is the name given to the process which Dynamo manage to ‘track’ the items created in non-Dynamo files.
