Place line based family giving first and last point

Hi,

I’ve just write a post Extruding a profile family along a line asking for placing a profile family along a line but it was not working as I wanted.

My question now is if anyone knows a way to place a line based family giving first and last point of this supposed line. That could also solve my problem.

Hi, I would use Line.ByStartPointEndPoint and use the line for the family creation:

where are you taking this node from [FamilyInstances.ByLine], I can’t find it

I’ve got the package you say @lucamanzoni and it is not appearing, which version are you having?

It appears me the one @m.rijsmus is saying

I have Dynamo 1.3.3 and 2.0.1 and in both version it shows it correct.
Maybe it’s just a name issue, if you move your cursor on Point, which input requires? Point or Line? Does it show error if you connect a line?

Also check if you have the last version, maybe you just need to update the package. Mine is version 2019.2.6
