Place Family By Point Bug?

Hello,
My brain is dead. Is it bug or my fault? Location point of created element is random or coordinates are doubled. I’ve tried set.location node from SpringNodes, even modified it and moved transaction inside ‘for’ loop. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Thank you.

Its working fine from my side. It might be due to modification of python. Did the location of element changed?

There has been a couple of posts lately regarding strange behavior of the family by point node.

Create instance by point error

Im trying to place family instances in revit but the first item in the list always seems to be placed incorrectly (Not at the coordinates provided in dynamo), all other items are placed correctly. I have heard that this is a known bug. Does anyone have a good work-around or fix? I have tried adding dummy items to the start of the list so these are placed incorrectly instead, but this doesnt work consistently.

Swapping Structural Foundation Slabs with Iso Footings

@Alisder_Brown the bounding box idea is good. But when the element are at an offset, the point shows the Z elevation but family instance places it at level zero. it’s weird but that’s what happening. Also is there a way to select the family type by name. the idea is the name of the foundation slab matches a generic structural foundation but with type properties, which means we will create types already and when the name matches the family type it places that respective family. is it possible. […
