There was a post two years ago talked about how to call out data from LibreOffice if I do not have MS Excel installed. It is been two years now and I want to see if anyone gets a solution to this problem.
These errors are Excel is not installed.

Have you tried DYN package Raindrops? That has some nodes for Google Docs. Might get you what you are looking for.
Use a csv instead of an xls.
This node work also with WPS Office (it’s free).
