Hello, I’m an independant learner of Autodesk systems and this week I’ve had success and failures. I’ve successfully setup an array of a family type along a curve but have not been successful in orienting the array to face the path. I have also referenced different examples and change things around to no evail.
I tried upload .rfa but since I’m a new user it doesn’t let me upload attachments
Revit is now part of my life, please help lol.

They come out like this, I would like the objects to remain perpendicular to the curve instead the remain oriented horizontally throughout the curve.
Have a look at these previous posts and see if one of them solve your problem:
Sorry the forums were down yesterday but I did have a chance to try your suggestion and sadly I must report it was even less effective than how I had the script originally set up. Columns don’t appear to have a cross-section rotation parameter and to redo the script with vertical beams… while I rather try some other approuches before return to this option. Interestingly. in total I’ve found 3 ways of rotating families but still the process to align columns to the curve eludes me. I’ll keep tryin…
Hey, Everyone, I have been digging through old topics for a while now and am still having a few issues dealing with rotating families to be perpendicular to a surface or curve.
Here is what I have so far.

For some, it is working, but it is a hit or miss.
Also here is my Dynamo file. (MY Revit file is simply a blank file created from the Arch template)
perpendicularFamilyPlacement.dyn (108.4 KB)
Thanks for the help!

Hello!
Im having a problem with the rotation of my family along a path. It shouldnt be a huge problem but Dynamo only rotates the first family and the others not. (see screenshot).
Could anyone assist in this?
Thank you in advance! [1]
