no cause it still doesn’t work
In Revit start a new family from the template and show the materials which are available.
@jacob.small i already told you. those :
But you also said this:
Which indicates that you generated a new version of your family template after creating all of the materials.
Add the materials into the new family document, save it as a new family called massing template.rfa
, and then in a file browser change the extension from to massing template.rft
. Then use massing template.rft
as your template file for the springs node.
@jacob.small that was for the blue one
okay i’ll try this method and i come back to you
@jacob.small Nothing appened … still the same situation
Provide your family template and a graph to recreate the issue.
this is my familly template : Autodesk Drive
Wich graph do you want ? @jacob.small
Just a simple .dyn created to be run in a standard project template that causes the issue to reproduce. Say applying ‘blue’ to a cuboid.
@jacob.small look at this video, this is my method and my result : Autodesk Drive
I open my .rft file, which I created with the new materials. I run my script, which creates the different masses (with materials) in my family. I close my family and reconnect the FamilyInstance.ByGeometry node (because it’s not possible to do this in a family), then run the script. The result is visible. I’ve got all my families in the tree structure , but they’re all the same color…
@jacob.small After viewing, do you have any idea how to do it?
Do u think is it possible because my solid is a void ? cause in the script, the autor told that it’s impossible to put material if the solid is void …
