I cannot explain this error message, but this might be helpful:

also, I am guessing you should not be seeing this message and it may be intended for developers, if that is the case it would be a bug and would be great if you could post to github with this issue, if you have a chance to do this can you also show the input curve?

However I can recall all it was, was a nurbssurface, that I extracted the edges to curves and then tried to convert them to model curves?</span>

I’m now getting a slightly different error, which reads…
