i have an excel sheet with a
list of revit families in column 1
a parameter in column 2
the number of families to be placed in column 3.
right now i do not get my expected result.
whatever I do, I get a list with my families but I do not succeed with the number of elements to be placed.
example:
family a; parameter 1 = red; 10pcs
family b; parameter 1 = blue; 20pcs
family c; parameter 1 = green; 5 pcs
…
i create the families.
i succeed in finding out that there are 35 pcs to be placed
but I am not successful in building a list like
family a; parameter 1 = red
family a; parameter 1 = red
family a; parameter 1 = red
family a; parameter 1 = red
…
family b; parameter 1 = blue; 20pcs
family b; parameter 1 = blue; 20pcs
family b; parameter 1 = blue; 20pcs
family b; parameter 1 = blue; 20pcs
…
and so on.
why this? I want to combine this list with points in order to create families from an excel
any suggestions?
