Linking multiple drawings from a single file from Autocad into Revit

Hello Dynamo Community,

Our current workflow is to author a BIM model from the CAD drawings produced by another design team. Any revisions in the CAD drawings must be updated in the Revit model.

I am predominantly a grasshopper user, and what I would like to do is to select the polylines that define the floor outline as a curve primitive, and then extrude it based on its floor depth. Additionally, wall centerlines could also be input into grasshopper to extrude the walls with the respective thickness, and height.

Any changes in the CAD drawing can then be easily updated in the 3D model by changing the curve inputs.

I’m wondering if there is a similar sort of workflow that can be achieved in revit dynamo.

Thanks, and I look forward to your reply.

Ben
