I am working on a global optimization. I want to use the cloud-rendering for the illuminance values and the normal Revit analysis for the EUI.
My strategy was something like this:
— creating a pattern-based, parametric curtain panel family with the materials (glazing and frames) and opening-parameter.
— changing the opening-parameter and gathering the results (energy and lighting)
— optimizing the parameter-value recursively
Now here is the problem: Revit does not seem to recognize the panels as as room bounding entities. so the lighting analysis goes well but not the thermal.
A. is there a way to include curtain panels in the thermal analysis (in building-element mode)?
B.is there an alternative parametric strategy to do this (without pattern based curtain panels for example)?
