Issues with External Packages in Dynamo (Revit 2026)

Hi everyone,

I’m using Revit 2026 and I have a question about Dynamo external packages.

Are external packages fully supported in Revit 2026?
I’m asking because I tried using an Add Pipe Insulation node from a package, but it didn’t work for me.

Has anyone faced this issue before? Is it a compatibility problem with Revit 2026, or am I missing something in the setup?

Also, could you please suggest any MEP Dynamo packages that are confirmed to work well with Revit 2026?

Any help or guidance would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Package support is up to the individual package author.

Most packages are written for the version used in the moment, and aim to cover as much of the landscape as they can in that moment.

So a package which adds insulation to a pipe written in 2017 is less likely that a similar package written in 2021 which is less likely than a package written in 2025. Each release of Revit, Dynamo, and your customizations (to Revit and Dynamo) impact if the package will work.

The real question you should have is ‘is this particular package version’ compatible with my environment? A first step is to check if you have the right dependencies installed.

Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. I’ll check whether the package version and its dependencies are actually compatible with my Revit 2026 and Dynamo setup. I guess this is more of a compatibility issue than a scripting error.

Also, do you have any suggestions for Dynamo packages that work well with Revit 2026 for MEP services?

Appreciate the clarification :+1:

Not off-hand. Most (nearly all) of my work lately is in Dynamo Sandbox, Civil 3D, Forma, or architectural aspects of Revit.
