Hi
I am trying to model the geometry of a dam in dynamo/Revit from a laser-scanned point cloud. The geometry will then be used to analyze the structure in a Finite-Element Program.
- I am quite novice to dynamo. I found this post (Point cloud to dynamo to revit) regarding point cloud import in dynamo, but as mentioned the X,Y,Z data is invalid. Any help on how I could be more successful with this ?
- My approach for modeling the geometry would be to extract the points on a pre-defined grid and then use geometrical shapes (curves, extrusions…) to represent the object (the dam). Is that an approach I could use, or am I totally in the wrong direction ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
