Getting Model Categories from a Linked /Current Model

Hi,
Can anyone please help me to get Model Categories

  1. Present in a Selected link
  2. Present in Current Working Document

Hi @Sujan ,

All%20Category

As you can see every category is greyed out here, this means you have a view template applied.
Go to this view template and check if RVT links is set to true (tickmark on).
Change it to False.
Go back to the view you where you were when you took this picture (above)
Now go to Revit Links, and set the categories for your Link.
If you want this in all your views where you have this view template applied, change the view template instead. (same settings, but with the tickmark set to True)

Hello Thanks for reply. What I’m trying to do is a Clash Test between Model Categories of Linked Model and my Model. I’m trying to get more control over Categories like the Built in Interference Check provides, showing only the Model Categories of Elements available in a Model.

Bump

i think you should have made another post here on the forum for your second question.
I don’t know what to answer now, if i could, in any way

Hi @Sujan,

Is that what you want to do?

Hi @Sujan,

If your issue is resolved, mark it as resolved.

Hi, How would you get the model categories in the link instance?
