Hello everyone
It’s been a while since I last posted on the forum. I am pleased to announce the publication of a package called Feasibility on the Dynamo package manager. Feasibility aims to automate various aspects of urban and building layout design.
The Dynamo package currently contains 12 nodes, primarily built out of Dynamo out-of-the-box nodes. The nodes automate the development of surface parking with various patterns and parameters to fine-tune the parking layouts. Using the feasibility parking workflow in combination with generative design is a powerful way of producing layouts that optimally use available space. The nodes do not contain any external packages and have been tested on Dynamo v 3.3.0 and Revit 2025.4. In the “extras” folder, you can find a README and sample files to get started.
My initial intention was to release the package with more advanced features as a zero-touch package, but I have, however, now started a PhD and do not have any spare time to work on the package. The repository with the work-in-progress C# code is open and available here. Anyone willing to continue the zero-touch development as an open-source project and seeking guidance on the code structure can reach out to me on LinkedIn.
If you would like to understand how the package works and some ideas on how to set it up for generative design, have a look at the linked videos.
Also, please drop in any feedback you might have or feature requests in this thread. I would like to see how the package is being used for refinement. Thanks!
Enjoy!!
