Dynamo 2.3 installation

Can someone please confirm my understanding of the following points related to this topic:

  1. I currently use Revit 2018 & 2019, therefore the Dynamo updates have to be performed separately from any Revit updates (Dynamo updates come through with Revit updates in Revit 2020)?
  2. The reference to Dynamo 2.3 in the post above, refers to “Dynamo Sandbox” not “Dynamo Revit”?

In order to access the new features of Dynamo 2.3, do we install DynamoCoreRuntime2.3.0? Are there installation instructions located anywhere that can an IT dept. can reference?

My current install situation is listed below, what should I do to get the latest stable builds to have the latest and greatest features?

  • Dynamo Core 2.0.3.88.10
  • Dynamo Revit 2.0.3.8811

Thank you!

I would suggest you read the following blog post https://dynamobim.org/a-new-way-to-get-dynamo-sandbox/ it should help you to understand the differences on how dynamo install works going forward.

Revit 2018 and 2019 has a current max dynamo version of 2.0.3 at the time of this post.

Currently this is the situation. This is likely to change over time (ie: a release of Dynamo for Revit 2.0.4).

Hi Jacob, thank you for this valuable information.

Can you confirm which Dynamo version is the latest version that is compatible with Revit 2018/19? Per this article I would gather that 2.0.4 is the latest, but I am actually unable to find any builds later than 2.0.2 on dynamobuilds.com. Can you provide any guidance?

Thanks in advance!

The following should give you the 2.0.4 version, though this does need to be looked into by the dynamo team. @solamour could you get someone to look into this
