Dynamo 2.0 conflict with NBS Plugin

@des.hourihane, @seandburke, can you confirm which Revit build you’re using when you see this conflict?

Revit 2017.2
17.0.1150.0
20171027_0315(x64)
2017.2.3

Revit 2018.2
18.2.0.51
20170927_1515(x64)
2018.2

If you upgrade your revit to 2018.3 you may find that the NBS plugin has issues launching, as other Revit stuff utilize the CefSharp dll Dynamo 2.0 calls.

Can you ask your IT department to confirm?

I’m on Revit 2018.3, Dynamo 2.0 in Windows 10.

And the NBS plugin launches and works as normal in 2018.3?

Hi Jacob

Apologies - I didn’t get a chance to test this until now.

I can’t say if it’s fully functional without hitches but I have been able to associate a Spec with the Model and then to associate a Clause with a particular Model Element … so it certainly seems to be functioning. It’s certainly launching and a little more besides.

This is immediately after running the patch to 2018.3

18.3.1.2
20180423_1000(x64)
2018.3.1

(on Windows 10 Professional as the OS, forgot to include that information earlier).

Update:

I emailed NBS Support regarding this issue this morning and got the following reply.

Thank you for your email. We had notified the Development team of this issue when you initially sent in the bug report and they have been working on a fix for this – apologies for not receiving an update on the process

We are aware of this issue and have been working to update Cefsharp to version 57 to match Dynamo 2. This will be sent out with the new update of the plugin in the coming weeks and should solve the Dynamo issue.

So not resolved yet but apparently in progress. I’m pretty sure I sent the bug report the same day as my original post.

Good to hear!

Hey all, just to confirm the above. I had the same problem:
Revit 2018.3.1 (18.3.1.2 20180423_1000(x64))
Dynamo 2.0 (Core 2.0.0.4654, Dynamo Revit 2.0.0.4655)
NBS Add-in 3.1.0
Windows 10.

Uninstalling NBS fixed the Dynamo problem. Hopefully an update from NBS will soon be available.

Is this possible?

A new release of NBS Plug-in and they haven’t resolved this issue?!?

Upgraded the NBS, gimped my Dynamo 2.0 menu.

Very late to the party here. We just came across the same issue in 1.3.2. affecting Revit 16-18 (have not tested 19)
If we run any script that uses Winforms UI nodes (either internal ones or from Data Shapes). Revit will close on running of the first UI.
Removed NBS and
