Hi All,
I am experiencing a problem where in creating line based families Revit is joining their geometry and fudging the ends. These blocks need to be 2000mm long, and are in Dynamo and Revit, but only when the gap between them is more that about 30mm. Any less and Revit is auto-joining them and making their length inaccurate. Any thoughts? I have highlighted the correct geometry in blue, as this is the out put from Dynamo.
Did you try turning the snaps off before running the script?
I’ll have to see in a days time, out of the office tmw. can’t remember what my current settings were but thanks for the input
It’s an issue with Line-Based families in general. Nothing you’re doing. It’s one reason why some are dumping LB families… well, that and they wreck havoc with Groups.

So if I use a generic model family with a standard length parameter and then use create\ insert by point and vector instead? will give it a go, thanks @Greg_McDowell
Yeah. I’ve not done it in Dynamo but, in terms of Revit, it works fine.
