Creating Object Perpendicular to Alignment

Hi forum, I am trying to create objects perpendicular to my alignment but am not able to find the right nodes for it. I can convert my alignment into a polyline by taking it’s station points and able to fix my objects(pier) perpendicular to it. But is there a way to fix my objects perpendicular to my alignment without converting my alignment into a polyline?

Try using the coordinate system nodes. You can use the Alignment.CoordinateSystemByStationOffset node to create a coordinate system at specified stations. The y-axis of each coordinate system will be tangent to the alignment, with positive y-values increasing in the same direction as increasing station values. This means that the x-axis of the coordinate system will be orthogonal to the alignment and you can place objects accordingly.
