Create parameter in family types

Hello everyone, good morning.

I’m trying to create a Dynamo routine to add shared parameters to multiple families at once.

In other words, I want to apply a parameter to all families of a certain type at the same time — but I’m not having much success.

Where might I be going wrong?

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Do I really need to create the shared parameter beforehand (in the .txt file), or can I just type the name of the parameter directly?

Also, why doesn’t the “Families” node work properly in this case?

If anyone can help this Dynamo beginner, I’d really appreciate it!

Hi @cintiamiranda21 , see if that works,

I still don’t understand. Does this solution create parameters in all template families? It didn’t work in any of them, not even when loaded, can you guide me?

I might be wrong. But i guess you have to open the actual
Famlies apply the changes and close them (and / or reload them in your project).
AFAIK you can’t add any Parameters from within the Project.
