Create enlarge plans by room using Archi-Lab package

hey all,

I’m new to the forum and beginning my journey with Dynamo for Revit. I’ve created a dynamo graph using the Archi-Lab.net package to create enlarged room plans by selecting rooms in a plan. Everything seems to work except once the enlarged plans are placed on sheets the back reference in the viewport title always points to a section eventhough callouts/elevations/section markers are off in the view template of the section? I’ve narrowed it down to levels category in the section. If i switch this category off and add a callout to refer to another view on a plan the viewport title of the enlarge plan is correctly back referenced to the plan with callout? Not a problem if done manually without Dynamo? Any advice? Thanks in advance

Callout behavior can not be overriden and is notoriously buggy/tempremental in nature. In my experience they often simply do not work, despite many evangelists saying this isn’t the case. An override option is much needed.

Suggest asking further over at the revit forums where this can be further troubleshot.

hey Gavin,
the issue is only when running the dynamo graph not if done manually in Revit. I wonder if the custom node is connected to levels in some way which is why the enlarge plans by default refer to sections and elevations. Once this category is off i can get the back ref to work…
thanks

I don’t believe callout behavior can be influenced by anything dynamo specifically does, but maybe some else will have more to add.

Its a bit hard with the packages that the authors arent as prevalently on the forums. If you followed a blog post on archilab might be worthwhile commenting there too as Konrad often replies to questions there.
