Create a Note Block (Generic Annotation) Schedule of a specified family in Revit

Hello,
New to Dynamo. I’m working on creating a script that will create a Generic Annotation (Note Block) schedule in Revit. I cannot seem to resolve the warning I get when attempting the Categories node to the ScheduleView.CreateSchedule. Any advice on resolving this warning and generating the schedule would be greatly appreciated. I’m using Revit 2017.2 and Dynamo 2.0.1.

robystar,

New to Dynamo myself. Very fun but can also be very frustrating at times trying to figure out why somethings not working.

Take a look at this post

This is apparently an old node and this functionality is now in the core Revit functions.

@robystar
Were you ever able to find a way to create a Note Block schedule?

Hey, as far as I’ve been able to gather it’s not possible to create a schedule as of Revit 2017 at least. Easier just to work with an existing schedule.

Generic Annotations is not a schedulable category. I’m guessing Note Block schedules use a different method.

Hi Rob,

There is a Create Note Block Schedule in Genius Loci package.
