You have to connect the linkedinstance and not the linked document.

I cant seem to figure out, how to use this graph… What model element do you choose in “Select model Element”? to convert to curve?

My problem is, that I would like to put dimensions to all of my exterior walls, and to all doors, windows and so on, like one would normally do in the model. Problem is, my Exterior facade, is in a linked model…

So I have built the above graph, but Nothing happens…? So what should I input in “Select model Element”? What defines where the dimensions are going?

Hi,

To create a dimension, you need to specify its location so you need a curve.
It can be a detail line or a translated curve from the wall location line.
In my example, the curve was a model line.
