hi, i need to put in many view of elevations and sections only the trees on realistic mode through dynamo.
i’m been working on a script but it seems not working.
If I am understanding your question correctly, you will not be able to do what you want- that’s not how Revit works. “Realistic” (like Wireframe, Hidden Line, Shaded, etc.) is a property of the view. It cannot be overridden by category.
Looking at your script, it appears that you are trying to set a parameter of the element. If there is some parameter in the family that controls geometry visibility, maybe you can share the family.

thanks for the tips but when i try to serch in dynamo document.activeview or display styles i do not find them… are there specific packages for them?
Yes…you can probably use OOTB nodes depends on which version you are in…i just like use active view from spring as it have option for refresh

. I thought it would be easier… yep i tried manually and also in differents views(3d included)… but it seems not working
Might be a localization issue.
Try launching Revit in english and see if that fixes things.

PS you could try these nodes from archilab as well and sse it works in french version but not sure
ok but the reason to make the dynamo script was to make only the plants appear in realistic mode, like a filter…
not possible as far i know…but probably there could be a hack…but i dont know that as it very rare i do that stuff…probably insert as an image so…
That’s not how Revit works. A view is either “Realistic” or it is not. You cannot make that choice on a category-by-category basis.
Rule of thumb: If you can’t do it using the Revit User Interface (i.e. right in Revit) you almost certainly can’t do it via Dynamo.
