Beam placement by poly curve

Hi,

I could not place the beams as I expected, is it possible to place the beams with nurbscurve / polycurve ?

The revit file seems too big to be attached, so I just uploaded the project base point for reference.

Thank you in advance.

If the nurbs are not planar, you won’t be able to make beams with them. Did you try using polycurves and then extracting the individual segments with the PC.Curves() node?

thanks for the advice.

yes i tried pc.curves, still not success…

I eventually created a set of 4/5/6-point-adaptive families , and the problem was solved temporarily.

It is very time consuming = (

Hey @Norris_Ng ,

Reading your last post, just to say that I always do the same as you do… eventually create an Adaptive Family with several control points.

It´s such a pity that Revit cannot create Structural Framing Beams with non planar curves, as most of the girders an infrastructure project has… did you get any better approach during this time since your last post?

If not, we will have to wait until Revit gets better with linear infrastructure projects…

Cheers.
