The first time I opened dynamo in 2019 my biggest wish was to automate dimensioning of MEP elements in Revit.
Of course, because of the steep learning curve of dynamo and the complexity of dimensioning with dynamo it didn’t work.
Sinds then I managed to automate a lot of things using dynamo, but never dimensioning… Until today!
With the help of a YouTube video by Aussie BIM Guru.
My script places a horizontal and a vertical dimension of a selected element to the closest Detail line. It works for multiple inputs at once.
Sinds I had a very hard time finding any information about dimensioning MEP elements with dynamo I decided to share my script here to hopefully help others.
