API, Buttons and Dynamo

Dear all,

I am trying to find good reference to create button by API then link it with dynamo Script, as dynamo player working but instead of the player to have buttons and if so would be great to share the knowledge with us.

for that you need Revit SDK Package first,

then you have to access Dynamo library through API, i dont know if this possible.
let us see if anybody has an idea.

You should give Dyno a look. It allows to add buttons to the revit ribbon pretty easilly

I tried Dyno and it’s great, but it’s not free anymore and i wanted to understand how to link the add-ins with the dynamo i am familiar of making button but couldn’t figure out how to connect it with dynamo script

try XMAL UI. Here is a video I made on how that is done.

You can also use Python
