when i try with familyinstance by line dynamo crashes immediatly no warning no nothing , nothing shows

I guess you can right click that custom node and copy what there to your workspace and maybe you can see whats wrong then. Maybe it is Python related? Also. Were you able to find this? DetailItem.ByCurve (I think that is the name).

im not using python , and that node is not available i found this tho and it gave nul [image]

im not using python I didn’t mean you :wink:, but there could be Python code in that custom node. I think you can right click on that custon mode and select edit to see what is in there.

Did you try FamilyInstance.ByCurve too? My screenshot came from that node. Do you have these packages? [image]
