Is there a better way to get dynamo geometry of a Tin Surface as a solid? I am using this sequence of nodes…
What is your goal?
Do you just want the geometry only to be visible in Dynamo or do you want to continue to use the surface as a geometry in Dynamo?
This is a way
goal is to obtain solid geometry in dynamo so I can perform earthwork analysis with Boolean subtraction between various solids.
topsoil volumes
cut
fill
import/export
etc
Maybe another way to ask the question is…
Is it possible to create a dynamo solid from TIN SURFACE using the Mesh Toolkit? I have attempted and failed.
Curious if anyone else has had success?
But you still look for a workflow to create the solid for Volume quantification?
Correct.
I am able to create solids and compute earthwork volumes using the TinSurface.Extensions.CreateSolids node (as per your example).
However, this workflow takes a very long time to execute when working with larger surfaces.
So I am curious if there is a workflow that derives solid geometry from this node (or any other)…
