Surface normals - Floors with sub elements



A floor element with sub element editing like points or split lines has its normals on the surfaces on the underside facing the same direction as its parallel surfaces on the overside. A floor element without sub element editing has its normals on the underside facing down. Shouldn’t the normals always face out of the solid, and never into it? Is it then a bug? The surface to the right on the screenshot has a sub element editing.
