I am trying to place spaces from linked arch rooms. I am getting all the room locations; however, when I use space.ByPoint node it only creates a generic space based off the room point location.

Is the linked model set to be room bounding?

What is you element.type? Is that in a package?
I think the one I used may have been from a package, but there is also an OOTB node for this.
