Select Model Element (change)

Is there a command for me to change the element for select appear?

It is a trouble for the code when I am working on the Dynamo and reuse it.

I very much appreciate if we can resolve this concern.

How we can have authority when select or change command will appear on the select model element code block.

Cheers,

Rod

@newshunhk ,

when your colleges work with the player… … you can switch to codeblock… so they can not make changes out of the interface
grafik

this both examples are “hard-coded”

I am very sorry.

When I look for a code “Select Model Element” it is originally default into “Select”

But when I some how run it. means. I have already use the command and copy it.

The default “Select” is change to “Change”.

I know the reason why it changes but I do not know how can I fix the command to just select and not change.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your time.

Cheers,
Rod

Do i understand correctly that what you’re looking for is a way to copy a node without the input in it?

@MVE1112 ,

i think the aim is after any run you can select again without, the Id(element) stored

I guess the only way to do this is save the file with a fresh select node that doesnt contain any input, and then run it from Dynamo Player

Hi @Rod.D.Lecetivo ,

Press the select button and press in Revit but don’t select anything.
Than save your script and reopen, the node Select Model Element is empty after that.

Is that where you are looking for?

Yes you are correct. That is the goal.
I am not sure why dynamo purposely do that.
And if ever there is an option to just retain select or remember the operation.
This is an advantage in other work instruction if it want to remember.

But it takes troubling time and repetitive work on my end when it keeps remembering.

I want to keep my script short and simple for it to be use generally by others.

Thank you very much for your response.
This is really what I goal is.
