Sampleline geometry only returns half the line

Hi All,

I am busy extracting point based geometry for interpretation of a complex beam, I’ve made alignments for the centre, left and right. Placed samplelines by a range on the cl and clipped their left and right offsets to the relative alignments.

In Dynamo I want to extract each sampleline’s start and end point. However, it is giving me one edge and the centre of the line as points, instead of the two edges. Why would this be?

Select Objects in Civil3D

Hi @1054896935, This is not going to be possible as you’ve described. The Object.Geometry node is doing a lot of work under the hood to make it possible to get the Dynamo geometric representation of many different types of native AutoCAD and Civil 3D objects. You can’t just pass anything into Object.Geometry and expect it to work because, at the moment, the Autodesk team has only implemented a limited set of object types for it to work with. A note on the above: I’m only using obj.geo to output the visuals while I error check, ultimately I’m only after the start/end aka left/right points of each sample line.
