I understand the workflow to get the areas of faces of selected objects/objects taken by category; however, is there a way to do this with Parts? For instance, we use Parts to create pours, so Pour X-XX would be a Part (consisting of floors, walls, beams, voids, castings, etc).
I could see using Select Faces, but say I don’t want to subtract the area cut out by a casting (the casting would be cast in, but the opening would be covered by formwork and therefore the area would be needed), is there a way to select the face over it?
I could also see using Select Edges, but is there a node to create a surface bound by selected edges? Say there is a void form taken out of a wall, but the formwork would include the area that was cut out, you’d want the edged bound by the void form included.
