Hello Guys,
I am trying hard to replace an existing doors in the project with another door family I already created it from before, while preserving the same width of the first ones
Hi Khalil, welcome! ![]()
Please take the time to read the following post How to get help on the Dynamo forums
You can do this in Revit:
- Make a new type of the previous door with the preferred width
- Go to the default 3d view
- Enable temporary view properties
- Open visibility/graphics overrides (vv keyboard shortcut)
- Turn off visibility for all elements except doors
- Find the door type you want to change in the view
- Use context menu to select all

- Change your door and type to the one you created from the properties menu
- Disable temporary view properties
Use this way as it will preserve each door’s instance parameter information
yes always do what’s easiest, always choose your matches carefully ![]()
