Hi,
i made a dynamoscript based on the “Create Legend Component” node from GeniusLoci-package. It works well for familytypes like switches or powerplugs but not with system-familys like cabletrays or pipes.

The output on the legend-view is like this:
The cabletrays in my modeling view have different linetypes and colors. The legend view use the same view template like the modeling view.
Can someone give me a hint to solve this problem?

Hello, thank you for the response. Yes, that is my problem. All cable trays are displayed with the same symbol and in the same color. However, in the 2D plan view, there are different types, e.g., for IT or power, each with different hatching and colors. Additionally, the cross-section view is shown in the legend instead of the top view as in the 2D plan.

In the plan view, the different representations are managed with a custom parameter and filters. They all belong to the system family “Cable Tray”.
But this parameter is not part of the corresponding legend component. Therefore, the view template of the plan view does not work for the legend.
no dont think so if i understand…try do it with a filled region for plan view legend
