Place railing on top of structural element

Hi all,

I am trying to place railing on the top of structural framing elements but I am not getting the correct output. I am using node called railing bytype and level from wombat package but it needs a poly curve. I want individual railing on the individual element. if I use railing using polycurve it gives a long railing which I don’t want.

Please let me know do I have any other alternative option like I got the top surface using that surface do I have any option to place railing on that surface ?

The dynamo script that I am working on is as below

Shape of element is as below

Hi, I guess it depends on how much fluctuations you have in elevations, if the elements are curved etc. If it is pretty straight with even elevation maybe something like this?
(I’ve used an edge here as the basis, but essentially converted it into a polycurve)
