Place Family by face and reference direction

Hi everyone,

I am trying to place revit family on exact same location and direction of fabrication part. Green element is fabrication part and white one is the revit family. I found this familyinstance.by face but fabrication has no face. Do you have any idea how I can place revit family with the same direction of fabrication?

Hey,

I think there are other options… You could place the family by point? Then maybe get the facing orientation and then Set Rotation?

It would be a little easier to assist if you could post a couple of files
