Network Speed and Package Locations

Quick question on the processing power/speed of dynamo when using a network located package folder. Can someone confirm/deny the speed differential from placing packages directly on the local drives vs. network drives. Based on a couple other posts on here, I’m looking at a network installation of packages, but wanted to confirm before I abandoned the idea of network located packages.

It “should” have no effect on “speed”. Packages are all getting loaded into memory when you start Dynamo so there would be no need for them to be read in from a network drive when you are working. If anything, your Dynamo load time might increase slightly but that should be negligible.

We have our packages and scripts on a network location with no performance issues.

Thank you both for your responses. That was my hope.
