Multi-Host for a rebar element

Hi All,

I’m working with rebar elements that go forther than the host boundries:

Here’s my issue. If I change the level of the green floor, as expected, my 150 cm will move with the translation. But if I want to change the level of the red floor, as the host is not linked to this floor, it doesn’t change and the end point of my curve is staying the same.

Is there a way to associate more than one host to the rebar element, so it “understands” the changes going on?

Thanks in advance!

In other words, I want to “create” a constraint for the top end of the bar which could be independent from its host. Any ideas?

Is it possible?

Not yet in Dynamo, but can you manually lock the dimension in Revit to force the relationship?

Tried that. It doesn’t work because rebar constraints are independent to the dimension constraints. when I lock them and change the floor level, It says “Constraints are not satisfied”.

Through the API maybe?

If you can’t do it in the program itself it’s unlikely the API has a function for it. :frowning:

Ok. Thanks for your response. I’ll now work in a different way this constraints work together.
