Middle point of element

Dear Dynamo Specialists,

I would like to get the middle of this 3D component in a detail view.
For tagging the element automatically.

There are a couple of ways to do this with varying effort/results. What have you tried so far?

My first option was to get the yellow line. Then make a surface.
Then get the middle of the surface. But I can’t get the yellow line of a 3D component.

Locating the element.locating is the second option. But I did not get the correct point.

What are your options?

The point is the detail can be in the middle of the component.

And it can also be a vertical detail.

With solid, and solid centroid.

Getting the centroid of the solid or midpoint of the bounding box were going to be my first suggestions. You can also get the top surface of the solid but that can be a little hit or miss.
