Merge Line and Fill Patterns

Hello Everybody,

i am a Revit experienced user, just started learning dynamo though.
I would like to organize the Line Styles and Fill Patterns of a project and we have the old problem of having a serie of identical Patterns with different names. Is there a way to select them and merge?

Does anyone have any insight into this question? I am also seeking to find what families are hiding duplicate fill patterns and line styles.

Try this,

Excel Roundtrip - Fill Patterns, Line Styles etc

now is the fun: let’s set the names and see if we can - I haven’t actually tried - LOL: Damn, this proved to be a little bit more difficult than I thought. Anyways here it is: First let’s break down our data coming back from Excel: [Capture1]       Let’s grab our id’s and convert them to integers so we can use them to extract our elements again:   [Capture1]     Now, we can use archi-lab nodes to get an element by ID like so:   [Capture1]     And lastly set the new names like so…

i looked at this other post earlier and it does allow you to export this information in excel and delete line styles or fill patters. What the post is asking for though is a merging. Some elements might be using these duplicate line styles or patterns. The goal would be to find all the diagonal downs and set them to the same one and delete the others.
