I’m currently working on a project involving railway overhead contact systems (OHE) and I’m trying to automate the creation of the catenary wires using Autodesk Dynamo (with Civil 3D).
I came across a reference to a file named “Catenary_Wire_Chat_RAIL.dyn”, which seems to be related to this topic — but I haven’t been able to find it anywhere online.
Does anyone have this file, or know where it can be downloaded?
Alternatively, could anyone share some guidance or examples on how to automatically generate a 3D railway catenary between OHE masts and cantilevers in Dynamo?
Any help, scripts, or workflow suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Where did you see the presentation? Often it’s best to reach out to the presenters directly, as I have thousands of colleagues and we often bring in guests who are experts or doing cool things in a particular area and only that guest can provide their IP.
I had seen in this link “https://youtu.be/ajKhhIMJW_s?si=21wBobcP6bEuizBq” the presentation of Civil 3D 2020 - Dynamo Design Automation by Autodesk itself, at second 52… Since it was an official Autodesk presentation, I thought it wouldn’t be a problem. Thank you.
I recently watched the webinar “[Webinar] Infrastructure Design Automation with Dynamo for Civil 3D” presented by Paolo Emilio Serra and Ben Wardell. During the presentation, it was explicitly mentioned that the Dynamo scripts and spreadsheets used in the demo would be made available to the users.
I am particularly interested in studying the “rail_03_catenary-wire_rail.dyn” script. However, I haven’t been able to find the download links in the video description or on the community portal.
Could you please point me to where these files are hosted or provide a way to access them?
