Trying to change the Diameter of the pipes using Element.SetParameterByName
Tried unit conversion, still I’m getting error. Can someone help me to figure out what the the problem is…?

Aw you beat me to it. Convert what you read from excel to integer/double first. That error only shows when using strings.
