IronPython2.7 Package versions across Civil 3D versions

Hi all,

I have created a script in Civil 3D 2022(.2) and I would like to also use this script, and possibly the same Package versions, for Civil 3D 2023. To keep Package Versions organized and updating them easier and less error prone.

However, I actually encountered a problem which I do not know how to solve and I do not know if this is even solvable. The problem lies with the versions of the IronPython2.7 package for Civil 3D 2022/2023: Civil 3D 2022 uses IronPython2.7 v1.0.0 and Civil 3D 2023 uses IronPython2.7 v2.1.0.

I was assuming this would not be a problem, i’ll just use v2.1.0 for both, but when I try to use v2.1.0 in Civil 3D 2022 it is not recognized by Dynamo.

Is there any way to let Civil 3D 2022 use v2.1.0 or Civil 3D 2023 v1.0.0 or do I need multiple “custom package” folders for the different Civil 3D versions?

Hey Daan,

We will solve this issue by creating multiple folders for multiple versions of the software.
