Interoperability tools and Google AI....?

Hello,

I was googoling for how to access / use the Interoperability Tools in Dynamo, and Google AI responded this (read first paragraph expecially):

Is this pure AI fantasy?

If not, where do I find the “relevant nodes” to “directly call functions from the Interoperability Tools”?

Thank you

It always is.

You’ll have to build said nodes, as they have not been produced, nor do I believe producing them is on the teams roadmap.

I am also not aware of any API for them, so you may be a bit out of luck. What is your intended use?

Thank you Jacob,

We are investigating if it is possible to schedule a Model Checker run on a cloud model, with all links included.

It appears a simple custom XML file could achieve that (as per Autodesk “Model Checker Automation” page), however, I doubt it will work with cloud models…?

Thank you

PS: is anyone “correcting” these crazy results from search tools? Shouldn’t Google moderate this stuff?

I have been screaming about the inaccuracy of “AI tools for Dynamo graph generation” for about 5 years now… Once even live tweeted an attempt at getting Chat GPT to generate the code to create a wall. After a half hour or so I gave up and tried a google… the correct code was the first hit after the ad… Since then the google results have dropped. Sadly when their business model relies on ad revenue via clicks, they actually make more money when you have to go back and load more, or check multiple sites, so… they aren’t incentivized or functionally built to do so.

The best we can do is moderate the forums (which I try to do as best I can) to keep what is posted here free of AI hallucinations.

That is the intent, but it has been ~3 years since I’ve been in the lop on that tool. However I believe that AVT (Autodesk Validation Tool - the cloud based model checker) is only available to tokenflex customers, and it needs to be contracted before you can use it. Contact your Autodesk representative to confirm (1) you have access to it and (2) what the limitations are. This is the sort of situation where ‘playing around with it’ can not only lead to hours of wasted effort but a large bill for setting things up wrong, so that rep should be willing and able to help you out.

I have run some tests, and yes, unfortunately there is no way to specify a cloud model address in this XML file…

Will look into the AVT tool…

The specification is done with AVT, not the standard toolset.
