Installing dynamo core

Hello everyone,

I am installing Dynamo for the first time and cant understand how to get to the latest version. I installed Revit 2019 in my computer and it came with an older version of Dynamo I didn’t want to have. I then uninstalled it and went to dynamo builds, which is unfortunately a bit confusing for me: I see under most stable for example DynamoInstall2.0.3.exe and DynamoCoreRuntime2.5.2.zip. I thought first, I would have to install both (?) and went for the .exe file. Now when I open Revit I obviously go to Dynamo2.0.3.

  1. What is the difference between DynamoInstall and DynamoCoreRuntime?
  2. What did I do wrong?
  3. Which version would you guys recommend?

If you are using Revit specifically, you should download DynamoInstall2.0.3.exe. Here is a good explanation of the purpose of the different installers.
