I’m guessing you’re running in Automatic and the nodes aren’t reevaluating. Run in Manual mode instead or close and reopen to “refresh” nodes.
Dynamo executes all nodes at once (more or less). If your graph is in Automatic mode it will only reevaluate if the data has changed. Your graph may not be recognizing the change in data necessary to rerun the node. Disconnecting and reconnecting both force reruns.
